This has been the start of our harvest time. Surprisingly things have grown and we have started to reap the benefits with peas, beans, potatoes, garlic, carrots and onions. Hardly enough to keep us in the lap of luxury, or even to fend off starvation, but a start.
The new arrivals to the garden appear to be settling in. Three brown hens and no black ones. No need we hope for the fear that used to dog out visits to the hen house.
